Rimington Football Club are delighted to announce that Ben Howard has been appointed as first-team manager

Ben is currently the Sport and Education Development Officer at Blackburn Rovers Community Trust. He also works as an academy scout for the club and coaches Blackburn Rovers U15s. Previously, he managed Chorley U21s. He is a UEFA B qualified coach.

Chairman Terry Braithwaite:
After weeks of trawling through applications, CV's, making/taking phone calls and conducting interviews, I am pleased to announce we finally have our man. The new first team manager is 33-year old Ben Howard, who currently works for Blackburn Rovers as the U15s coach and is also the club's Sport and Education Development Officer. He has excellent coaching credentials and I am sure he will fit in with the squad really well. Despite the time it has taken to appoint Ben, I can only thank the lads for sticking together to turn things around. I must also thank all those who thought enough of our club to take the time to apply for the role, I was overwhelmed by the numbers and quality of the applicants. The club is back on track now, so I look forward to seeing how the rest of the season goes.

Ben Howard:
I’m very happy to be joining such a well-run football club. I was really impressed with everyone I met, and with good people, anything is possible in football. I can’t wait to work with the players, both old and new. I will be announcing my management team shortly.
Rimington have a great football tradition that is based on winning, and I am going to work hard to make that happen consistently at the football club.
