With 9 fantastic teams going head-to-head in a brilliant day of sport, community, and sunshine.

The tournament kicked off with every team playing four 12-minute matches. Our squad put on a stellar performance, securing wins against Skipton, Settle, Pendle, Halton, and Clitheroe to battle our way into top gold group of three. After a hard-fought win and a draw against two tough Clitheroe sides, Rimington topped the pile to lift the inaugural Ian Wolfenden Cup!

Football is always better with food, and we celebrated our success with a fantastic post-match BBQ. Huge thanks go out to Gazegill Organics for kindly donating the meat, Gary and Michelle Bolton for expertly overseeing the grill, Steve Conti for his sterling work behind the bar, our budding young photographer Huge Porter and everyone else who chipped in to make our first-ever festival run so smoothly

Given how much everyone enjoyed the day, we’re already hoping this becomes an annual fixture on the calendar. Well played to all teams involved!
