A great start to the new year for the Rimmy first team, which included a debut for Antony Braithwaite, who was colossal in the goals. Our game against Feniscowles was a hard-fought game in which we stared well but unfortunately fell behind to an own goal. As the game went on, we pressed and got our rewards with an equaliser with good work from Tootle and Kiss, the two front men who never stopped running.
Rimmy came out all guns blazing and was the better team in the second half. It was a great strike from the opposition that put them back in front. Rimmy kept the work rate up, and James Billington equalised with a bullet header from close range. Rimmy had their tails up and with 20 minutes to go, Logan Grimshaw scored a worldy from 20 yards out to put the lads in front. The lads dug deep and worked tirelessly to ensure they took all three points. It was nice to see Lucas Murphy, Jay Reed and the Latham brothers step up from the second team, all of them putting in great work and effort. MOM was James Tootle.
