Great result for the lads, bouncing back from a disappointing result last week. It was a great team performance for the entire 90 minutes. Hard work and determination were key for us in the game today. Playing on an awful surface, the lads tried to get it down and play slick, fast football. It was good to see Longton and Tootle back with a debut for young Joey Blackburn, who was very comfortable at this level. I was happy with both goals scored. The first was a very clever set piece, which led to them putting it in their own goal. They equalised as we switched off for a split second, and it cost us. I was happy with our reaction. We went at them on the front foot and it looked like it could go either way. With 10 minutes to go, Liam Latham unleashed a 35-yard worldie. The lads dug in deep and worked so hard to keep the lead. I am so happy and proud of the players. We go again next week, hopefully with another good performance by the lads. Mom Ben Asprey
