Match Summary

​Rimington Over-35s secured a fantastic 3-2 victory against Darwen O35s, capping off a brilliant home-and-away double against strong opposition.

​It was a hard-fought, highly competitive contest that remained remarkably even across the full 80 minutes. Rimmy dominated the first half, playing some excellent football and taking a well-deserved lead into the break.

​Darwen saw more of the ball in the second half and pushed hard to get back into the game, but the Rimington defence stood firm and restricted them to very few sights at goal, ultimately needing a clever set-piece to find a breakthrough.

​When the final whistle blew, it sealed a hard-earned win and a perfect start to the season for manager Adam Hutchinson and the squad.
