Rimington overcame a good Clitheroe Wolves team in a even contest.

Clitheroe Wolves deservedly took the lead after 30 minutes through a mistake in the defence. However, Rimington quickly equalised through Joel Booth after a mix up in the Clitheroe defence. Rimington took a 2-1 lead into half time again through Booth who broke through the offside trap to score.

Rimington were quick out of the blocks in the second half when Booth completed his third hat-trick of the season to make it 3-1. Clitheroe then had a prolonged period on top and were able to pull a goal back. 3-2. Clitheroe were unable to capitalise on their domanice before Booth scored goal number four through another counter-attack and ensured well earnt MOM performance.

A good game played by both teams, showing a great deal of commitment and passion. Rimington deservedly won this match but Clitheroe Wolves certainly played their part.

Next Sunday is our U18s last game of the season v Darwen FC at home. Win and they still have a chance of taking the league title
