

In a hard fought game Rimington took the lead after 5 minutes through Theo Salter guiding the ball into the net from a corner.
Burnley Belvedere soon equalised after Rimington's defence was unable to clear the ball.
Rimington went into half time 3-1 up after goals from Joel Booth on 32 mins through a counter attack and then a penalty on 38 minutes.
Rimington were unable to capitalise on their first half performance and through a couple of defense mix-ups allowed Burnley Belvedere to get back into the match with two goals. 3-3.
Thankfully Rimington kick-started into gear and began to pressurise the Belvedere goal. On 82 mins, from a free kick parried by the Belvedere goalkeeper, Brad Hargreaves was on hand to steer a close range shot into the goal. This triggered wild celebrations as the whole Rimington team including the subs mobbed Brad, as it was his first game back after 18 months through injury. Rimington were then able to see that match out to an absolute fitting end to a superb season.
